Firefly TV Show - Firefly Television Show - Yahoo! TV

This is by far one of my favorite tv shows and movie. Its the perfect combination of characters with their own unique personality. it is also the perfect marriage between western and sci-fi. I have to admit when the show first advertised I wasnt interested until I saw Jewel Staite was in it and the fact that my father in law litterally forced my to wathc it....lol if memory serves he sat on my lap and held my face towards the Tv. I am glad he did because I dont remembe life before Firefly. Nathan is just awesome his character Malcom is the best. He is brave, funny and cute..in more ways than one and was sad when it ended. I m glad he is now on Castle so I can enjoy his wit again. I have both the movie and show on DVD and actually got my husband into it and he doesnt like either sci-fi or westerns. This show and movie is so awesome I promise you will start quoting it.

I first became aware of the Firefly 'Verse after renting Serenity at the local blockbuster. The story the movie told was so compelling that I went out and bought Firefly straight away. I sat down and expected a show of Buffy -esque proportions...and stumbled upon a miracle. Firefly depicts what life would be like after the Earth's natural resources are used up and people are forced to move into the outer regions of space. The crew of Serenity are an unusual group (at best); more like cowboys than space explorers. And then there's the unusual issue of the mysterious River Tam and her doctor brother Simon...
Cancelled too soon. FOX lets down the world once more.

I compare every TV show I watch to firefly. I just keep saying to myself How can they show this crap, but cancel firefly? .

If you have never seen firefly I would advise you not to watch firefly because you will never be satisfied with any other show again.

The best TV show of all time.

It was a unique combination of Old Western meets Star Wars. My brother-n-law would invite me over every Tuesday to watch Firefly and then John Doe. Then...one week, the popcorn was ready, the drinks were ready and then.....no Firefly. It's just like going to a move and then half way through, the power goes out. Or.....you're watching a recorded football game and then the kick that would win the game didn't record.
I bought it on DVD when it was release and finally got to see the three episodes that didn't air. The movie Serinity was also a nice addition. I'd hoped that the Sci-fi channel would pick it up as they did Stargate. Anyway....It's beyond me why they cancelled the show.
