Beautiful Show...

There is no other show on television better than Friday Night Lights! The acting is flawless, the writing is engaging, and the cinematography is beautiful. For the life of me, I will never understand why more people have not given this fantastic show a chance. Is it because it is a football-based show? If so, let me guarantee you it isn't, I hate football... but this show is about relationships and people and small town life and parenting and relationships. It's so heart-warming, so funny, and so believable. The characters are 3-dimensional and flawed. Never preachy and never too sappy... watch this show! Thank you DirecTV for allowing us a 3rd season. Everyone needs to watch so we can have better chance at a 4th season... this show deserves to continue.
One more thing... Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton... the best married couple EVER portrayed on any TV show. These 2 are brilliant!Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate -

LOVE the show....but....WHY WHY WHY????!!!

I was looking forward to this show ever since the finale episode of last year...but imagine my pain (think a thousand tiny pinpricks in my soul) when I discovered Friday Night Lights would be on ...wth?...DirectTV channel?? I didn't even know such a thing existed!! My family refuses to add to the (alarmingly) high cost of living as it is now by subscribing to either DirectTV or Comcast or whatever other conglomerate that gives a person the ability to watch 10,000 channels ("and still find nothing to watch")...but that is for another rant...where was I? Oh, yes...WHY WHY WHY does this show have to be on a channel that I have no chance in hell of seeing?? Bring it back to NBC!!!Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate -

Best Show In the History of TV
November 18, 2009I love this show!!!! Love it!!!!!! It is the best drama on TV. It touches your heart, makes you think, laugh and cry. There is not a show on TV, that can do all that, in one episode, like Friday Night Lights. I hope and pray it returns in the fall. Their stories are realistic and honest. The characters remind you, of people you know. You will reminisce, about your high school days. And it might even, help you be a better parent. It opens the door on social issues like sex, race, and teen drinking. Gives you the chance to speak to your children. It opens a dialog between kids and parents.
