Playing house? They do it WELL

    August 16, 2007
Gene and Shannon playing house? Then so be it. They are HONEST with each other and the kids, place appropriate boundaries around the kids and LOVE each other.

Doesn't seem like PLAYING to me, seems real.

They are COMMITTED to each other - without a piece of paper. These two fortunate kids are LOVED and adored. It has nothing to do with a piece of paper or the amount of $$ they have.

Did you see the show where Gene bought an island of Turks and Caicos? He graciously met with every interested party on the island to partner with and then made a brilliant decision to partner with the lady who was helping him conduct the interviews. He is truly a class act - no act!

And the show with the Marines? We all should be as grateful to those who protect and serve this country. We all should be as patriotic as Gene Simmons.

Gene is giving a very excellent example of parenting to those two kids. And folks, cut Nick some slack saying "he lacks direction" the KID is SEVENTEEN! Personally, I find Nick and Sophie delightfully childlike in NORMAL ways.

My kudos to both Gene and Shannon - they have what it takes to be un-married for 50 years!

    Peter brought it in

    March 19, 2007
In my humble opinion, if you are given the chance to see the sex or food episode, do so by all means. Nothing made me laugh harder then when Shannon busts Gene eating a mountain of fast food, and during her questioning, Gene's answer is plain and simple, Peter brought it in. He doesn't mention that he paid a kings ransom for the food or the television set that was also brought in by Peter, an employee of the fat farm that Shannon takes Gene to. If you notice, as Shannon is reading Gene the riot act, he looks at his hands with a look of damn, I wish I could lick this mayo off, but apparently thinks better of it. All in all, Gene appears to be a very good sport, and it is obvious that there isn't a lack of love in the Simmons household. I look forward to this coming Sunday, and the first episode of season two. I have been a fan of Gene Simmons for going on 30 years, and this is truly a treat to see him in an element that I never thought I would ever see him in. His children are charming, witty and funny, and Shannon seems to always try to find some new and inventive way to give Gene a balance to shrink his sense of I'm bigger than the world mentality, which I honestly think is the only thing about this show that is concocted, in that I just don't think anyone who shows as much love to his family is quite as self absorbed as the wheeling and dealing Gene. Also the couch speak between the family members is always worthy of a look see, as they do come up with some very good observations about themselves as a whole. It's well worth the time spent watching, as you do see a side of a rock legend that you otherwise might never get to see.

    Go Gene

    July 22, 2007
It's really nice to watch a reality show where every other word isn't bleeped. Gene Simmons projects being a great father to his two kids as well as a great companion to Shannon. Keep up the good work.
