Episode Description

An unexpected visit from Joan's mother Carol creates some tension after Carol quickly begins to critique Joan's methods of doing business. Joan tries to end another conflict by buying William out of his share of the restaurant, but he refuses to accept the deal. After some hurtful words are exchanged by both, their venom softens into an admittance of love, but Joan is shocked to find her mother ominously present in only a robe.
