Parents have complained BUT lets face it times have chamge and reality is hard to face sometimes so WAKE UP!!! This is a fantastic show and I look forward watching.

While waiting for new shows to be written and aired, I decided to read the series. Personally, I think the show is much better written than the book series. I also like the twists and relationships better than the series. In the series, every page is basically the same forumula. Nate gets high, everyone smokes some cigarettes and switches boyfriend/girlfriend, description of their clothes. I understand if you liked this series first, the show will shock you because it is a COMPLETELY different storyline, but for this viewer, I like it better.

Sheesh, just because people like the drama and suspense of the show doesn't make them unintelligent! If you'd bother to watch all the episodes, you might notice that people are not always having sex, or ever doing drugs. I personally think the show is something that most teens would enjoy. Not every reality show made was exactly like the book it came from..wouldn't they all be kind of short anyway? The producers took the general idea of the book, a teen badgirl goes good, gets the guy, the plot develops from there, ect.
