Not the one that I want

    January 14, 2007
Show was ok. Kind of cute. Can someone please tell me why we have to have a british speaking person on every reality show? It is so annoying. I hate that accent. No offense to anyone in IRL. If tonights 24 episode is awesome then Grease ain't gonna be the word and I'll be hanging out at Fox with Keifer.

    WHY?????????

    January 5, 2007
That just proves Hollywood is struggling for new ideas.

Do we really NEED a show like this? We have way too many reality shows as it is. What made Grease-the movie work was the talent behind the stars who played those characters. This video looks like everyone is just acting the movie and doing what they did. Not one person looked like they were doing something new. They looked like they were doing bad impersonations of the characters in the movie.

Stupidity: I should expect it now in America.

    January 7, 2007
Honestly, I don't think many of the people here no what you have to where in original dance auditions, or auditions. What the people on the show wore tonight was perfectly fine, and it was not an underwear add at all.

I've never seen Grease, but I get the feel of it. The sad part is I'm an aspiring actor and have not seen it. I deserve a slap on the head for that.

To my critiques: it is an American Idol-esque/British Reality Show rip-off. Honestly, I hate the fact that it's an American Idol-esque rip-off just because the show helps deteriorate the world. I hate the fact that America loves reality shows, because they destroy creativity. Alas, finding the two leads for a musical through a casting call that is put on television is new, but to allow Americans to vote for the next leads of the shows is despicable.

Here is what I think they should do, not allow America to vote. Not allow America to choose people based off their: skin color, sexual orientation (or lack there of), personal beliefs, religious beliefs, or any other form of the contestants. The two problems to what I'm saying is that it'll make money for the producers of both shows in a better way.

    1) You have more people watch it so that they feel like they are a part of the show. That they have a say in the matter. Your ratings go up, and if you get the people you voted for in the show: you'll go see it. For others... maybe or maybe not. Either way, they easily make money.

    2) The judges have a lot of money put into the show. If they make the wrong decisions (albeit they should be based off of the production design's concept for the show needing it to be), than they are screwed for the people from the Midwestern States who might have flown to New York just to see the show when they watch the last episodes and find the people they don't want. This way they make money based off of the voting to ensure all of America sees Grease on Broadway.

These are the main problems to it. Hell, I think casting calls could benefit from this on Broadway. Here's the big reason why.

You get to know what they're doing (if you are aspiring actors and/or love the theater and are outside the upper eastern part of the country which have newspapers that only care about the disgusting town you live in) than this is a wonderful way to promote your show. It also allows people to see who is what, and whether or not it's worth seeing (although this is a double-edged sword here). The other thought is that audition places and times can even be put on after scheduled shows on television so that people can come to these and be stars just by aiming to be among them.

I mean this could really be something, but what the hell do I know? I'm just a college student who happens to have not lived the world long enough to understand it. I can't possibly know that many people are moronic biggots who don't even know what they're talking about. I can't possibly see future events, or make good decisions (even to younger people). After all: I'm just a poor college student who is majoring in theater and is an aspiring actor that knows who can act and can't.

I don't know what I'm saying, but I'm sure America does. After all, they all know how to act better than I can.

By the way, my 3 stars is my rating.

Edit: I forgot to mention, each show is it's own adaptation. If you saw the latest adaptation of Sweeney Todd, than you know what I'm talking about. So America, take it from me: STFU.

    Out [profane]es.
