After spending the night in her car, a smelly Dr. Caroline Todd begins her first day at a new hospital. She isn't sure who to trust and mistakenly accepts an offer by the suave Guy Secretan to stay overnight at his place while her apartment is being fixed.
Joanna thinks that Lyndon has given her a locket for her birthday, but it's really from Dr. Statham. Guy rates the women on the staff, which angers them enough to rate the men themselves. Caroline tries to get used to her roommates extremely active sex life.
Statham tries to win back Joanna, despite her sudden dislike of him. Caroline finds herself infatuated by Mac, but also attracted still to Guy. Martin fails his exam once again, but at first is told by Guy that he's passed.
Extremely hungover, Caroline tries to apologize for her behavior at the party she threw. Joanna and Harriet both think they may be pregnant. Mac interviews for a new job. Martin retakes his doctor's exam.
Caroline and Sue try to deal with the fact that Mac is leaving the hospital. Martin finds out that Guy's real mother is actually Joanna, which Guy doesn't know. So Martin tries to get Guy to make a pass at Joanna in revenge.
Caroline tries to quell the rumors that she and Guy spending the night together was simply platonic. But Guy tries to continue the rumors until Caroline blackmails him.
Mac finds himself the center of Caroline and Sue's affections. Caroline and Angela throw a party for the hospital staff that results in Caroline making out with most of the guests.
The hospital hosts a charity slave auction. Martin starts acting like a jerk in the hopes of winning Caroline back. Sue gets upset with Caroline when she finds out that Caroline has feelings for Mac.
Statham tries to improve his sexual relations with Joanna when he thinks Lyndon is interested in her. Guy rubs it in to Mac that Holly is expecting a child. Caroline tries to get a new roommate, but the only person interested is Angela.
