George suspects that Dr. Burke's hand isn't well. Then, George's father is diagnosed with a leaking heart valve and stage three cancer. George asks Cristina to tell him the truth. Meredith tries to be a happy person while dealing with a little girl who got run over by her nanny. Izzie shadows Alex and sparks fly between them. Chief Webber tells Meredith he can't visit her mother any more because he needs to try and make his marriage work. Addison finally takes off her wedding rings. Meredith and Derek decide to take their relationship slowly.
