Edge of the Seater
November 30, 2006I am not a couch potato...meaning I am not a habitual TV watcher watching every one's favorites. I don't watch much because I have two toddlers. This show for me is awesome. It is well written and almost every episode is a cliff hanger. It makes you think. It makes you use your imagination. I have not been 'hooked' on a TV show for a very long time, but this show makes me want to watch it every week. I am not a Sci-Fi girl or anything, but I do have to say I enjoy this show. It brings back the old cliff hanger, edge of the seat kind of show our parents used to watch, back in the day where every week was a season ending, nail biting end....If you want to watch something new, something not mainstream, good writing, good acting,WATCH THIS SHOW!Was this review helpful to you? Not The X-Files, but Good.
November 28, 2006Heroes is an exciting and brisk science fiction show about 'ordinary' people developing 'extraordianary' powers. The characters reside around the world, but have been gradually crossing paths in various locations, apparently connected in some kind of active evolutionary process. Masi Oka steals the show as Hiro Nakamura. The name may sound like a cheap pun, but great authors like John Steinbeck have employed such simple metaphors. Hiro can bend time and space, thus allowing him to travel from Tokyo New York City simply by squinting. In Las Vegas, Niki Sanders (Ali Larter) has discovered an alter ego named Jessica who appears as an active apparition. In Odessa, Texas, a cheerleader named Claire Bennett (Hayden Panettiere) can instantly heal from any fall, cut or burn. In Los Angeles, a police officer begins to hear the thoughts of everyone around him, a la Mel Gibson What Women Want. And all over the world, more and more Heroes are developing. Perhaps the writers did not have all these Heroes planned at the outset of the pilot, but the show's success has allowed the program to go in expansive new directions. Recently the show has introduced the 'anti-hero' Sylar, who is hell-bent on destroying all the herores. The show is building towards a climax, and once all the Heroes are united, the action will be orgasmic. Tune in Monday nights, it beats the sunglasses off David Caruso and CSI: Miami. Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate -

I am so upset that I have to wait til Jan. 22
December 19, 2006I absolutely love this show. I have never been so in to a show before. From the first episode, I have been obsessed with seeing this show every monday. I even have my DVR set to record all new episodes, just in case I don't get home in time to watch it from the beginning. I have seen every minute of every episode and I can't wait til it comes back on Jan. 22, 07. I find it intriguing how every episode leaves you hanging with the "to be continued," leaving you wanting more and looking forward with much anticipation to the next episode. Each character has it's own endearing qualities, and I can't say I like any one of them any more or less than the other. I can't say enough good things about this show. And I can't say it enough...I can't wait for the return of "Heroes."Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate -

Best New Show
November 20, 2006I love this show. I am not a comic book person at all but I got sucked right in. The characters are great. All of the storylines hook me. Even the cop who hears thought was boring for like a second but he just got interesting again. I'm all aboutWas this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate
