Huh?
July 10, 2007
I watched the first two episodes and was sickened. Here is a woman with a serious medical problem, insomnia. Yet instead of looking into herself to figure out why she can not sleep, she continues to over book and over extend herself.
All of these writers, blaming her managers are ridiculous. Paula is a grown woman and can take care of herself and make her own choices. It her responsibility to say no or take a few hours off to sleep because of illness, etc. Her managers job is to book her appearances, not to hold her hand, and frankly, to not even care. I know that's harsh. But that's the performance world.
All this show did was make me loose respect for her. From one dancer to another, Paula, your body/mind is your instrument. You need to take care of it and respect it. If your body is signaling you with a cold, you should listen and rest. Maybe if you did that, you would have the opportunity to win another grammy.
Peace.

As I watched this show, I found myself wondering out loud, "Why??"
This show is not very flattering to Ms. Abdul who clearly suffers from some form of drug addiction or personality disorder. Even when she is her normal self, she is just too weird- like a little girl who hasn't grown up yet. I also wondered why she would approve of these unflattering episodes- unless she didn't find them that unflattering. I found Paula weirder than Anna Nicole in her show. And that's saying a lot.
The one bright spot is that she narrates the show herself. So you know what she's thinking and why (sort-of).

i may be a bit biased seeing as i'm already a huge fan of paula abdul but i for one can't wait to see the rest of this episode and the ones to come! paula seems like a funny, crazy (in a good way), and passionate person. the first four minutes weren't enough! i can't really speak for the stuff i haven't seen yet but so far i'm hooked on this show!

Support for Paula

What happened to kindness, compassion, and grace??? Paula's has been treated so unfairly by the media ~ it is shameful. I don't understand how people can get so much enjoyment by cruely slandering someone like her. It is like kicking a kitten. Her show lastnight will hopefully shed some light on her hectic schedule, lack of sleep, and apparent illness during the FOX interviews. She handles this with consistant grace and always has a kind word or a moment to share with her fans. She is so unlike many of her peers in this respect. She hasn't forgotten the many fans who put her where she is today. Can everyone just lay off of Paula?????

You can't help but look! Paula is not doing anything to help her image with this show. She acts ridiculous. If this is due to lack of sleep, give the girl an Ambien! If this is due to some sort of substance abuse, get the girl in treatment! This is about as bad as watching that reality show that Anna Nicole did!
