The series, set in Stalag 13, a German prisoner-of-war camp during World War II, follows the exploits of Robert Hogan, a U.S. Air Corps colonel, as he manipulates the camp to aid the Allies (operating under the code name Papa Bear ) and obtain secret German information for his superiors.
