House TV Show - House Television Show - Yahoo! TV

I LOVE the show and always have. Hugh Laurie is great! But going into rehab & stopping the use of the vicodin puts a damper on the show. Sure, it's not a good thing to be showing & at times he did overdo it with the use but reality is that some very intelligent & professional people can still function & be very useful individuals to society. He obviously needed the medication, although as I said he did overdo it at times but they could have let the story line show that...go into treatment but use it as a learning experience for so many people that are going through the same thing. Yeah, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis & there are times that I could not function, hold down my job (which is in a professional surrounding where I have to make many important decisions) without my medication. Truthfully, I do not use the meds to the extent that House does or I'm sure I could not be in the management position I am so I admit they do go to extremes with his use. My doc explained to me that "recreational" drug use is a whole different aspect than a needful situation. If you take the drugs to "get high" it is a different reaction as any pain doctor will explain. It's just not as interesting or realistic with House not having any problems as most normal people do. TV is too full of "perfect" people. Everyone wants TV to project "perfect" people, relationships, examples for kids, etc. We need more reality programs instead of making them all about perfect people.
