Finest Show Ever
December 13, 2008
The subject manner and the strength of both the writing and acting really made you think how far America has come and how far we stil need to go. I am glad PBS saw the strengh of this enough to produce a conclusion.

In a class of its own

It is not often you see a show of this caliber of writing. The stories pulled at your heart and felt true. They did not sugarcoat what was going on in America. This show also had several main actors at the best point of their careers. This show was so good that when it went off the air, public television bought it for rebroadcast. How many shows can you say that about?

A great series
October 8, 2007
This was one of those shows that dealt truthfully with race relations as they were back then as well as with the struggle that those who did not practice discrimination had in being true to themselves. The show also reminded you that this country still has a way to go in making progress in race relations today. It also didn't wrap everything up in a tidy little conclusion. It left issues unresolved which is the way things are. This is why I liked this series.
