Go ahead, keep loving Lucy. It's okay!
March 28, 2007
Nice how it seems 50 some-odd-year-old TV day-to-day around-the-house pastime stuff can still be compatible with real life? Couldn't the domestic images (facial, fashion, household, etc.) be considered dynamic enough to make for an unstrange presence nowadays?
Notice how sidekick Ethyl's hair, face, and clothing sometimes look better than Lucy's? Wouldn't Lucy really hit home today with alot of her quick, critical remarks? Don't they even more accurately point fun at celebrities of that day? Would you expect to hear "fat old fuddy dud" with reference to Fred? Ethyl chastizes a bum? Lucy mimicks and fights an old, angry Italian woman? Doesn't the no-knock neighbor thing work okay? Doesn't Lucy a few times look hauntingly glamorous even though her unflattering facial expressions rival those of Curly Howard?
Afraid to laugh at such "old, black-and-white" humor? Feel others won't approve? Watch I Love Lucy by yourself and laugh. It's okay. The show is funny. It's okay.

All of them are Timeless CLASSICS!
September 2, 2008
Even though the I Love Lucy show was made 50+ years ago, the shows are timeless classics. The show is still fresh and hilarious as the first day it was aired. This is what separates a great show from a good show.
Some of the so-called classic shows in today's era won't last the test of time. Shows in the 80s Friends, Seinfeld, and Murphy Brown are good examples. They are dated, and the contemporary issues are irrelevant, and in 20 years could be still seen as funny, but not in the hilarious category.
I Love Lucy is as funny for today's kids in 2008 and wil find this show just as funny as the kids who watch the show in the 1950s.

I Love Lucy is the best sitcom EVER made
May 31, 2008
I can watch I Love Lucy episodes a hundred times (and I have) and they are STILL funny. I could probably recite most of the dialogue but every single time I watch I laugh and can't get enough. I Love Lucy is the framework that all other sitcoms have copied from. Think about Laverne and Shirley and Cybil and Marianne-they got into similar escapades with pranks reminiscent of Lucy and Ethel. The physical comedy that Lucy was capable of was extraordinary and the kooky schemes that she got Ethel, Fred and Ricky in were always hysterical. The amazing thing is that this 50+ year old sitcom is still on tv every day and still enjoyed by millions of people and the situations are still fresh and funny. I will never stop watching I Love Lucy.

LUCY LIVES ON!!
May 8, 2008
I Love Lucy is the best comedic show out there. Who cares if it's RE-RUNS.... at least its actually funny without being dirty, cruel or just stupid. Lucille Ball was an unbelievably talented actress as well as Desi and the rest of the entire cast. I am a huge huge fan... Lucy; you ROCK!!!
