This tall, handsome former waiter risked his job waiting tables to audition for season 6 of “American Idol” in 2007. When Jared Cotter, 25, learned he had made the audition cut, the aspiring singer with the smooth r & b pipes knew it was worth getting fired for. A Kew Gardens, NY native, the semi-finalist currently lives in West Orange, NJ, and holds a degree in business management from Five Towns College, Long Island.
