Currently living in Rockwall, TX, but having been born in Dallas (on March 25, 1987) and raised in Rowlett, TX, the dreadlocks-sporting Jason Castro grew up playing drums and performed with a band called Keeping Lions. Before auditioning for 2008's "American Idol," Castro was majoring in Construction Science at Texas A&M University.
