    Why Is There No Justice?

    February 27, 2007
“Justice” should not have been cancelled. Plain and simple. This show was far superior to ostensibly similar shows that have lasted year after year. “Justice” was unique and compelling. It was entertaining without being ludicrous; cerebral enough to be interesting, yet not confusing. Every moment of every episode was meaningful. Well, for what few episodes there were, anyway.

“Justice” had attention-grabbing, easily understood plots that were executed in believable, intelligent ways. The cast near-perfect cast meshed well as a plausible team. Though somewhat disparate in methods, philosophies, and styles, together these individuals functioned like a well-oiled machine.

It was fascinating to see them draw on one another’s strengths and protect each other from their weaknesses. There was never a cookie-cutter approach to handling of cases. One team member might be more effective in handling a particular type of case than another team member. When that was the case, that team member carried the ball for the time being. Next time, a case might be someone else’s baby.

Victor Garber was magnificent as Ron Trott. He succeeded in smoothly alternating between tongue-in-cheek arrogant, and astute leader who knew when to listen to his subordinate team members. His love affair with publicity was fun to watch. His spin skills were a sight to behold.

Kerr Smith was perfect as Tom Nicholson. His boyish good-looks belied his intelligence and quiet, but amazing, courtroom acumen. He was dedicated, compassionate, and you just know you’d have done anything he might have asked of you. He was that likeable and unaffected in manner.

Eamonn Walker as Luther Graves, was appropriately intimidating, laconic, and no-nonsense. You never quite knew what he was thinking. Not flashy, but highly effective.

For me, the only letdown was the Alden Tulles character played by Rebecca Mader. She lacked presence and came across as stiff and kind of “blah.” That role could have been better cast, better acted, or both. I know nothing of Alden’s personality because she had none. However, the power of the other three team members was enough to eclipse this deficiency.

Few T.V. shows impress me enough to actually bother watching them. I’m a faithful watcher of “Shark,” but mostly because of James Woods. I watch “CSI Miami,” though I’m not entirely sure why. Love "The Sopranos" for more reasons than I can list here. My current, will-not-miss-no-matter-what favorite is “Grey’s Anatomy.”

“Justice,” like “Grey’s” had a brilliant ensemble cast, great storylines, crisp writing, and was a generally well-done production. Like "The Sopranos," "Justice" had intelligent, sometimes vulnerable, characters we had to love. Yet, now there literally is no “Justice.” I don’t understand it, and certainly don’t like it.

If television has taught us anything, it’s that anything will sell, if effectively marketed. “Justice” wasn’t marketed properly, nor was it given a fair chance. Somebody goofed, and now we viewers must suffer the consequences.

the show is great!!! Cast is awesome. I have not missed an episode and they are all great.
I like when they show what really happened in the end.
Victor Garber is great at his role, plays it well as the lead, he is confident. Tom Nicholson is a cutie. Luther Graves is handsome.

Best court room drama in years!

    January 2, 2007
I love the use of modern technology used in the court room on this show. I don't know how realistic it is but if I were on a jury it sure would dazzle me. Speaking of juries, it's nice to see a show that goes behind the court room actions to show what leads up to that day in court, specifically rehearsing in front of mock juries in order to fine tune the arguments and witness testimonies. And the best thing about this show is the way they show "what really happened" at the end of each episode. It keeps me guessing throughout each episode to see if they're going to show the defendent really DID commit the crime but got off, or what the actual events were. There's usually a nice twist at the end. Very entertaining show.

This is one of the best shows on TV. I especially love the ending of each episode where you can see what really happened! The actors and actresses are believable and talented. The stories are interesting and capture your interest immediately.

This is a fantastic show, and they actucally had to do their homework. My husband and I enjoyed watching it once we saw that this show was on. I hope this show continues with alot of adversements. The only thing I hate is that we didn't realize this show was coming on sooner and now it isn't. Excellent Show!!!
