The actors were very well cast.The plots were a little redundant at times, but the characters were just perfect. Operations, the cruel dominant head of Section One; Madeline, second in command and ruthless she- wolf in sheeps clothing; Michael, the super-sexy spy who was as dangerous as he was good-looking; Walter, the wisest and oldest operative, free-spirited, a gadget guru who loved to stick it to the higher-ups and Birkoff, the boy computer-genius that everyone loved. Last of all, our heroine, Nikita. Gorgeous, kind, and in love with Michael. She hated Section, didn't belong there, but did what was needed to survive. Her looks were her biggest asset to Section One. She was often her own worst enemy, trying to save the innocent and often paying the price because of it.
The mission was to get the bad guys at any cost. You didn't get out of Section anyway but by dying. You had better be good at your job, because if the terrorists didn't kill you , Section One would. They had the top of the line weapons,technology and training. Section One was the best at what it did.
The show lasted for 4 seasons, was going to be cancelled and a huge fan campaign caused it to be held over for a short fifth season. There are still numerous fansites dedicated to the show and the main characters. You can get all 5 seasons on DVD.
