Land of the Lost TV Show - Land of the Lost Television Show - Yahoo! TV

My sister and I used to watch this show ALL the time when we were kids. It was one of our most favorite shows growing up on Saturday mornings. It would play amongst a group of shows under the Kroft Superstars headline, but this one especially was one of the faves of most kids. Will and Holly were always getting into all sorts of trouble, finding all sorts of things and running into big ol dinosaurs. They had an ape-like friend they met that helped them in the forest or whatever it was they landed in, named Chaka. He was sweet and helped them to defend themselves against the mighty Trex and others. There was a group of warrior alien type creatures called the Sleestak that were very mean and were always trying to capture Will or Holly or Chaka. All I really remember is that they were this sort of greenish color with an oblong ovalish head with a big glass looking eye type thing in the center front of where the face would be. It was like a very dark color and they looked very freaky. They always made this hissing sort of noise and would sort of lean forward and move side to side when they walked. I remember they really scared my sister and I and we'd always turn the channel with they came on and then we'd turn it back when we thought they'd be gone. LOL!! Sheesh.. they are nothing compared to the things kids see now a days, but back then they were pretty scary lookin! We used to like to watch the adventures they'd go on and see all the cool water rapids, or dinos or crystal rock formations they'd find where they'd have to place just the right colored crystal in the proper place to get them to where they wanted to go (I guess some sort of transport thing).. kinda shady memories bout the exact details. Just remember we really liked it 'cept for those stupid Sleestak! :-/
