Lost Jughead

Episode Description

Penny gives birth to a baby boy, Desmond's son. Two years later, the family is on a boat headed to find Daniel Faraday's mother at Oxford. On the Island, a group with Miles, Charlotte, and Faraday are headed to the creek when a trip wire sets off an explosion. Others arrive led by Ellie, who interrogates Faraday and Miles and decides to take them to camp. On their way, Miles senses that they walked over fresh graves of US soldiers. Meanwhile, Locke, Sawyer and Juliet try to decide what to do with their two hostages. The young men speak Latin to each other, making Juliet realize that they are Others. Faraday's group arrives at the Others' camp where they meet Richard Alpert. He asks if they have come back for their Hydrogen bomb. Faraday realizes they must be in the 1950's, before DHARMA, when the US Military tried to do hydrogen bomb testing on the Island, only to be attacked by the Others. Faraday convinces Alpert to let him fix the H-bomb, promising he won't let it explode because he is in love with Charlotte. Locke’s group tries to convince their hostages to take them to Richard Alpert. One starts to talk, but the other, whose uniform says Jones, snaps his neck and runs away. He runs straight to camp with Locke, Juliet, and Sawyer following. They see Ellie taking Faraday into the woods. Locke goes to speak with Alpert, while Juliet and Sawyer go to help Faraday. Faraday looks at the H-bomb, named Jughead, and realizes they need to bury it. While trying to explain this to a frustrated Ellie, Sawyer and Juliet arrive and get her to drop her gun. Meanwhile, Locke goes into camp calling out for Alpert. Jones pulls a gun on him. Locke tells Alpert that he was sent by Jacob. Alpert tells Jones, who he calls “Widmore," to put his gun down. Locke asks him if he is Charles Widmore, and the young man says he is. Locke tries to explain to Alpert that he has time traveled, but Alpert does not understand. Locke tells Alpert to visit him as a child. While trying to figure out how to leave the Island, there is a time-jump. Charlotte begins to seize again. At Oxford, Desmond has trouble locating Faraday's mother. There are no records for either of them at Oxford. A custodian tells him the records were erased after Faraday did something terrible to a girl. Desmond locates the girl, whose name is Theresa Spencer. She is in a strange comatose state. Theresa’s sister Abigail tells Desmond that Faraday left after she was hurt, and that Charles Widmore is taking care of their medical expenses. Desmond goes to Widmore's office and barges in, demanding to know where Faraday's mother is. Widmore gives Desmond the Los Angeles address but begs him to not get Penny involved. Desmond returns to Penny and eventually tells her he needs to go to Los Angeles. She worries about his obsession with the Island but says that she and their son, who they have named Charlie, will go with him.
