Episode Description
Mr. Eko flashes back on his violent youth and subsequent path to religion when he discovers the statue Charlie has been hiding comes from a failed drug run that he was involved with in Nigeria. It is revealed that he should have been on the doomed Beechcraft, but his plans were disrupted by his brother Yemi, a priest who, along with a colleague of Eko's dressed as a priest, were found dead in the jungle. In the midst of Mr. Eko and Charlie's trek to find the downed plane, Eko comes face to face with the "security system/monster" and fearlessly faces it down, as elements of his memories seem to appear in the smoke. Claire kicks Charlie out of her tent and warns him to stay away when she discovers that he had been lying about the statue he's been carrying and that he may be using again as he has been stashing away numerous Virgin Mary statues. Michael secretly formulates a plan to get Walt as Walt messages him again on the doomsday computer asking him to come. Sawyer is uncomfortable with the fact that people like him now.
