Lost Whatever Happened, Happened

Episode Description

Jin regains consciousness and takes the wounded Young Ben back to camp, where a search has begun for Sayid. Kate meets Roger Linus, and then has a flashback to being off the island and visiting Cassidy with Aaron. Kate gives Cassidy money for her and Clementine, Sawyer's daughter. She tells Cassidy that Sawyer asked her to check up on his daughter. Cassidy doesn't believe the money is really from Sawyer, and also doesn't believe Aaron is really Kate's baby. Back on the Island, Sawyer has figured out that Young Ben helped Sayid escape by using Roger's keys. Juliet works to repair Young Ben's bleeding, but she needs Jack's help. Jack, Kate, and Hurley are locked in a house and being watched by Miles, who tries to explain time travel to them. Hurley asks Miles why Ben didn't recognize Sayid as the man who shot him as a kid when he was locked in the Swan station. Miles is not sure of the answer to that. Meanwhile, Jack refuses to help Young Ben, so Kate goes to donate blood for him. Roger Linus realizes what his son has done and tells Kate what a terrible father he has been. When Young Ben gets worse, Juliet has the idea to take him to the Hostiles. Kate offers to take him. Flash to the night Ben was with the Oceanic 6 on the pier. Kate leaves and takes Aaron to a grocery store, where she accidentally loses him. Frantic, she eventually finds him. Kate goes to see Cassidy and tells her what happened. She also admits that the Oceanic 6 are trying to go back to the Island, and that she took custody of Aaron to help her broken heart. Kate then goes to Carole Littleton and tells her that she is Aaron's grandmother, that Claire is alive, and that Kate is going back to the Island to find her. Back on the Island, Sawyer and Kate bring Ben to the Hostiles. Kate tells Sawyer that she did help Clementine and Cassidy like he asked. Suddenly they are surrounded by Hostiles. Sawyer asks for Richard Alpert to save Young Ben. Richard says if he does save him, he won't remember anything, his innocence will be gone, and he will be one of the Hostiles. Another Hostile says to Richard that they should talk to Ellie first, because Charles will be mad. Richard takes Young Ben through the jungle to an ancient temple and goes inside. Flash to after the Ajira 316 crash, where Ben is lying in an infirmary bed. He wakes up and sees John Locke, who welcomes him back to the land of the living.
