    I lived in this time.

    November 7, 2009
Every week there is something that brings back memories I really love to see the clothes and the men smoking at work, My dad was a corporate lawyer and I would visit his office and the cigarette smoke would just be thick, but of course I thought nothing of it. It was just how it was. The JFK assasination episode just did me in. I just bawled. It was right on and even though I was only a little girl I remember the time as if it was yesterday and MY MOM crying and watching the TV. This show is special and I hope that more baby boomers will tune in.

    Mad Men Authenticity

    October 25, 2009
I love this show. It reminds me of a time in my life that I started a career in the corporate world. There is a problem though. I smoked during that time as everyone did, but in that upscale Madison Ave environment, women did not carry a cigarette around with them. It was unlady like to walk with a burning cigarette in your hand. Men did it, but not women. It bothers me during the show when the women walk around the office or their home with a burning cigarette.

Must say...this is a pretty good show

    October 18, 2009
At first, I thought that I might not like the show...but after watching an episode for the very first time, I was hooked. I was really impressed with the plot and it was apparent that the creators really put in much time and effort to produce such a show. I find the show to be calming and it is the perfect way to end a Sunday night. The show relaxes me odd enough!! The only thing that bothers me about the show is the fact that they made the show really early 60's authentic but they left out one minor detail...all the liquor bottles have the present day appearance. I understand that this is a minor detail and finding liquor bottles from the 60's era is probably hard (I can't help it, I'm a little OCD) but it bothers me. The show really brings me into that time and seeing one small modern item in a show that is set in the past ruins the whole affect. Other then that, the show is great.

    The Young One

    October 12, 2009
A very well rounded show. Nothing to over the top or under done. Even with it's acclaim it's not a ratings giant so it still gets to keep it's integrity. Great direction, writing, acting, and design. Even the music on the credits is delightful. Although the promos can seem confusing to me, it doesn't halt me from watching every episode. There's something in the things that aren't said or seen. Coming from one born in '93 that's a concept this generation can't grasp nowadays. Fantastic show, hope it goes out with the same diginity it came in with, may that be far away. ;)

    Best show on TV!!

    October 7, 2009
Amazing! Great writing. Great direction. Great acting. This period show about a Madison Avenue ad agency in the early 1960's is superb on so many levels. It captures the changing mores of the time with brilliant vignettes. The staging and sets are impeccably detailed to reflect the time.
