A comedy series starring Mary Tyler Moore as Mary Brenner, a divorcee who is forced to look for another job when the high fashion magazine she has been writing for is abruptly dissolved as the result of a corporate shuffle. Her job hunting brings her reluctantly to the Chicago Post, a third-rate sensationalist newspaper, where she is assigned to start a "Helpline" column.
