So metal it hurts.
June 15, 2007
As a product of the 80's, a time of hair bands and hard metal, I absolutly love this show. All the VH1 "Behind the Band" episodes where you see the band members doing all sorts of crazy stuff, some of them can't speak hardly an ounce of English (I love Skwisgaar and Toki) and "Where are they now" where you see your idols all fat and brain dead from too much coke (Snakes and Barrels, rofl!) all come together in some screwed up animate series!
The Rock And Roll clown looks like David Lee Roth, it greatly disturbs me, their manager is my hero, and the excessive blood and guts is just too funny. Anyone who doesn't like this show has serious issues. I love Toki, true story.

I've been thinking...
November 18, 2008
... not to hard, but still...
This show kills me and I adore the nods to 80's hair and metal bands. Pickles' backstory KILLS me. I don't know if I wish it was a full half hour show or not, but I do wish that they'd go back to having Nathan get ideas for song and titles from everything. My other wish is that Toki and Swissgar would get into a big old girl-slap-fight. Okay, I have a third and fourth wish: More Charles Foster Ofudsenn, and more reveals from the council of whatever the heck they are (the observers)
The attention to detail in the instruments and music is astonishing given the 'lightness' of the show. It's also one of the most quotable shows around.
My main gripes: Rockso the Rock and Roll Clown, and William Murderface, Murderface, Murderface annoy me a great deal.

A Misunderstood Show
October 19, 2008
Metalocalypse is brutal, yes. It is supposed to be. Metal IS brutal. Yet there is so much humor in the self-loathing of the group that most people miss it. It is also great since the animators take the time to actually animate the correct fingerings that it is worthwhile just to watch for that.
