    Miami Vice= cool

    November 25, 2009
Crockett and Tubbs were the coolest cops on TV in the 80's. This show mixed story plots with the coolest music of the 80's like Phil Collins "In the air tonight" in the pilot episode. I still see Crockett in my minds eye every time I hear that song. Though they tried to replace Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas with two other stars when they made the Miami Vice movie recently it just did not work. That was like having someone besides Michael Landon play the part of Charles Ingalls on Little House on the Prarie or somebody besides Robin Williams play Mork. It just does not work.

This show started out great and got more and more fullof itself season after season. SEASON one was Beatiful. Stamos carried the real acting load meaning he was the believable charactor.

One Of The Most Influential Shows Ever !!!

    April 4, 2008
MIAMI VICE was my favorite show of all time. The 80's was such an awesome decade for many reasons. The birth of MTV, VH1, music videos, awesome music, (New Wave, New Age, Techno, House, Punk, Rap, Heavy Metal, Alternative), Computers, Internet, Email, Video Games, The CD, Microwaves, Big Screen TVs, Cellphones, Metrosexual. All these things began or became popular in the 80's. Miami Vice was such a big and popular show. Producer/Director Michael Mann made the show so fresh and unique by using the latest music of the time to help drive the show and storyline each week. That was something that began being copied by other shows and movies up till today. Michael Mann began the trend. The show influenced so much in the way of music and fashion that its still seen even today whenever u see a guy with a unshaven face and suit, or sockless shoes with dress pants, or tshirt with suit jacket. That fashion look of "grunge meets versace" was started by Miami Vice and can still be seen in ways today. I was such a big fan of the show and always new how big it was going to be that i taped every episode and have the whole collection on tape. One of the saddest days for me was the last episode and my tv viewing urges have never been the same since. I was never a big tv show watcher and have had only a very few shows ive ever liked. Miami Vice was the best because it was so different and like nothing else ever seen before. The 80's were and still are very special times for me. Anyone in their 40's knows what im talking about.
