After the death of their mother, Sarah and Wanda, two very different sisters, are reunited. When they discover an old woman living in a run-down shack on the property they have inherited, a struggle over the land begins. Sarah wants to sell the land, but Wanda is hesitant after realizing that this would leave the old woman, Ms. Cooper, without a home. Sarah's teenage daughter, Gina, befriends Ms. Cooper and makes a discovery that eventually draws the sisters together.
