Set in Los Angeles, series portrays Moesha, an African-American teenager, her middle-class family and her group of friends. When not at home with her family, Moesha lives in the dorm on the California University campus with her boy-crazy friend Niecy, and hangs out with their neighborhood friend and Moesha's love interest Hakeem Campbell.
