Documentary about the estimated 750,000 homeless children in the United States. Many of these children flock to Portland, Oregon. Attracted by cheap "Black Tar" heroin, they arrive by bus, hitchhike and ride the rails. The program follows three of these children: Chris, a 21-year-old heroin addict who has been on the streets for five years; Jesse, a 16-year-old who has been on the streets of Portland for two weeks; and Emily, who is trying to get out for the sake of her unborn child.
