September 26, 2009
This was a great documentary. It must have taken the better part of the year to make this show from the Hot summer to I'm thinking winter with all yhe water where there was none before. Professionally narrated and filmed all the way. Thanks folks. Loved it.

only horse having FUN !... She really LOVES horses ! (..and sensitive to their happiness )
other 2...
1 is CONTROL issue, to teach a horse to military goose step for the elitist crowd. ( working with horses for kids does garner points)
polo-boy... I'll TRY to be nice...
self-indulgent money sick narcisist..horse is merely a tool for his ego.
and..yes I rode a working cutting horse on a dairy farm as a kid. and...I KNOW when she was having FUN !
GARY A.... OKC, OK
and..if I may add...PBS NATURE IS A PRICELESS GIFT ! ..makes TV a worthwhile endeavor !

Who needs Cable?

The coverage and sound is so real and clear; it makes my Love Bird sing like he's back in Africa. My pets and I love this show and thank you PBS Donators for allowing us to do so!

It was great stuff, very insightful and informational. It taught me about the brilliance of dolphins. It is the type of documentary that can be enjoyed by anyone, no matter how young or old.

Great Natural History Documentaries
May 4, 2008
I teach courses in ecology, biogeography, and conservation at a large midwestern university. Nature is one of those guilty pleasures I look forward to each week. One of the most important features of the show is that they always seem to get the science right. Other nature shows often fall short in this regard. Nature often shows the scientists "doing" the science, and in the process bring the scientific method to life. I often find myself incorporating examples from the show into my classes when appropriate.
I have travelled extensively, but Nature manages to take me to many of the places I know that I'll never have time to visit.
