With their "30 Rock" series finale just days away, series creator, writer, producer, and star Tina Fey and co-star Alec Baldwin nabbed the top comedy honors from fellow thespians at the Screen Actors Guild Awards Sunday night.
The statue -- called the Actor -- was the fifth for Fey, who took the stage in a gorgeous and glamorous black strapless Oscar de la Renta gown and retro 'do.
"I share this with everyone else in our cast, with Jane and Tracy and Judah and Alec and Keith and Scott and everybody," Fey said. "I also wanna say I share this with my sweet friend [and fellow nominee and recent Golden Globes co-host] Amy Poehler, who I've known for so long. … I've stolen so many of your moves. Amy, I've known you since you were pregnant with Lena Dunham. I've known you so long, and I love you.
"To Robert Carlock, for keeping this ridiculous train moving when I was on set, and to my husband Jeff Richmond for scoring every episode for free because we're married … I love you so much.
"And thank you so much. Our finale is on this Thursday at 8, up against the 'Big Bang Theory,'" Fey said. "So just tape 'The Big Bang Theory,' for once, for crying out loud."
Meanwhile, Baldwin won his seventh SAG award for playing NBC/Kabletown honcho Jack Donaghy. In fact, Baldwin has been nominated for his "30 Rock" role every year and has never lost in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series category.
Now, though, he joked, he's about to be just another unemployed actor.
"My agent, Matt DelPiano from CAA, asked me to thank him, and to mention that he was the greatest agent in the history of show business," Baldwin joked in his acceptance speech. "And I wanna say, now that I'm out of a job, and I'm unemployed, Matt DelPiano is the greatest agent in the history of show business.""30 Rock" lost the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series award to "Modern Family," which makes it four in a row for ABC's hit comedy.
"30 Rock," meanwhile, ends its seven-season run on NBC January 31 at 8 PM with a one-hour episode that features the series finale of the show-within-the show, "TGS with Tracy Jordan."
