'Game Change' Trailer Returns to 2008 Campaign

The 2012 race for the White House is well underway. But a new trailer for the upcoming HBO movie, "Game Change," showcases the historic 2008 presidential campaign: specifically, the rise of one Sarah Palin. Remember her?

Here's what we know: In 2008, John McCain picked the Tea Party darling to be his running mate on the Republican ticket for president. The dramatic retelling of events from the nonfiction best-seller "Game Change" takes a behind-the-scenes look at the hockey mom from Wasilla, Alaska.

The TV drama features Julianne Moore as a ringer for Palin, the maverick governor who became an overnight star -- and an endless headache for the campaign. Woody Harrelson plays aggrieved campaign manager Steve Schmidt, and Ed Harris plays a fuddy-duddy McCain.

The clip has the vice-presidential candidate as a loose cannon running away with the campaign. Palin whispers at the end, "I have to win this thing. I so don't want to go back to Alaska." Spoiler alert: She doesn't win the thing.

See the "Game Change" trailer here:

"Game Change" premieres Saturday, 3/10 at 9pm on HBO.

The clip under the photo on the main page of yahoo talked about Palin's "meteoric rise".

Where do they get these journalists? Have you ever seen a meteor RISE? If anything, they fall. Not making a comparison to Palin here. Just noting how lousy English passes as journalism these days. Setting the bar rather low....kinda like with politicians.

It was bad enough having to live through it once. Can't imagine voluntarily sitting through all that stupidity from her, and her lies, and the hatred from her fans again. (Hey, surely the infamous guy so proud of his stuffed monkey and the Obama sticker will make an appearance, too eh?)

Nope - once was miserable enough, and bad enough for this country. No need to re-live it. As is said in comedy, "Too soon!"
