'How I Met Your Mother' fans: Sing-along with Robin Sparkles' 'P.S. I Love You' [Video]

Wonder what Alanis Morissette thinks of Robin Sparkles, er, Daggers' song "P.S. I Love You"?

On Monday night's "How I Met Your Mother," Robin yet again revisited her Canadian pop star past after admitting to her friends that she'd once stalked someone. Who was the object of her obsession? The clue is in the title of the song … as in, his initials might just happen to match up with the "P.S." and he might just happen to be Canadian himself.

Robin, whose big hit was "Let's Go to the Mall" as a pop star, switched her focus to grunge and flannel and changed her name to Robin Daggers when her obsession struck, leading to a fallout with her record company when she wanted to release the "You Oughta Know"-ish "P.S. I Love You."

William Shatner, Josh Jackson, Jason Priestley, Ryan Reynolds, Corey Hart, Alex Trebek, and "Full House" star Dave Coulier -- who, of course, has said he is the inspiration for Morissette's "You Oughta Know" -- were among those speculated to be Robin Daggers' dream guy, but again, think about those initials. And the fact that he is Canadian. And that he may lead the band on a late-night talk show that may be on the same network as "HIMYM." Or perhaps we've said too much.

But if you, like us, can't get Robin's tune out of your head, CBS has helpfully shared the song's lyrics, as well as the music video, so you can have a Robin Daggers sing-along.

The lyrics for "P.S. I Love You":

    Verse 1
You, you're beautiful / On your pedestal / I see you, you don't see me...
    Am I just too young...
    Or just too dumb...
    Or maybe just too grungy!
And I'm wearin' my flannel and thinkin' of you...
I lace up my boots and I'm thinkin' of you.
I write letters and letters, they never get answered by you-ou!
I'm moosing down donuts and thinking of you... / I watch "Reality Bites," I'm thinkin' of you / That movie's so true but all I can do is say....
(Creepy whispers) P.S. I love you.

    Verse 2
The law can't stop my love...
I'll fit you like a glove...
    Restraining orders don't scare me...
The lawyers at the record company...
    Made me promise to say...
(Quickly) That the views expressed in this song do not necessarily reflect the views of Dominant Records or any of its subsidiaries...
I'm totally a slacker and I don't even care / With my curling 'zines and my faraway stare / But deep down inside, yeah, deep down inside I'm dying...
I'm trapped in a cage of the tears I cry...
I'm praying to God, but she doesn't reply
    Even the robot says --
    (Robot voice) Move on...
    (Screaming) I'M TRYING!!!
(Creepy whispers) P.S. I love you.

    Bridge
(Whispers) Why can't you see me?
We could be so happy together
    Capitalism
I love to watch you sleep
You look so peaceful when you sleep

    Verse 3
I'll never move on, it'll always be you!
Every guy that I'm with, I'll be thinking of you...
Even if I get married, he'll always be second to you...
He'll always be second to you...
I'll always be waiting for you!
    (Creepy whispers) P.S. I love you…
