It's been a busy year in the "House" show story line. The cast has lost and gained members. Many characters have been through life altering events. With a series as old as "House" it can be easy to lose track of what happens as the years go by, especially if you're having trouble keeping up with new episodes. As 2011 comes to close and a new year draws ever near, it's a great time to look back of the major events on "House" this year in chronological order.
Cuddy leaves House.
In the tail end of Season 7, during spring of 2011, Cuddy realized House couldn't change and breaks up with him in the musically amazing episode entitled, "Bombshells." This emotional break-up marked the end of a relationship intertwined in all the previous seasons of the show.
Thirteen goes to jail.
In Season 7 this year we also found Thirteen in jail after she killed her brother at his own request. During her absence the well-received Martha Masters (Amber Tamblyn) filled her spot in the team. She leaves the show upon Thirteen's release and return.
House rams his car into Cuddy's house.
In the Season 7 finale House rams his car into Cuddy's house nearly running Wilson over in the process. This was the last episode Lisa Edelstein who plays Cuddy was shown in, as she failed to renew her contract for Season 8 in fall of 2011. The event also caused major issues in Wilson's relationship with House. Wilson chooses to no longer be House's friend.
House goes to jail.
In the beginning of Season 8 we find House in jail for his auto-led-assault on Cuddy's house. There he meets Dr. Jessica Adams, a prison doctor who becomes one of the new team members this season.
Foreman becomes dean and springs House.
With Cuddy no longer a viable character, "House" promoted Foreman to the position as dean. Foreman then gets House out on parole on the condition he returns to work. House's team is gone and he is given a single helper, Dr. Chi Park, who lost her position in another department after hitting her boss.
Wilson forgives House.
As mentioned above, after House nearly ran Wilson over, Wilson cut ties with his past best buddy. At the delight of many fans, however, Wilson forgives House and the bro-mance continues in 2011.
Taub has babies.
Taub got both his mistress and his ex-wife pregnant in Season 7. The babies are born and active in the Season 8 storyline.
House gets his team back.
House plays the stock market with stolen money and some inside information from a patient to get the funds to hire back Chase and Taub. Thirteen declines his request to run away with her lesbian lover-a decision actually prompted by Olivia Wilde having movie obligations preventing her from being on the show. Adams and Parks are added to the team and the show closes for its fall break until 2012.
