    5 Most Memorable Guest Stars on 'The Young and the Restless'

    The strong writing, excellent production values, and incredible cast of characters keep "The Young and the Restless" as the enduring, highest-rated soap on television. One of the things that has also made the show special are its long-standing tradition of welcoming great guest stars to the show, from music stars to established thespians.

    Enrique Iglesias

    Enrique played himself in the episode that aired on November 7, 2007. He performed for charity at the Clear Springs Relief Fund. It was Neil Winters that hosted and gave the grand introduction to the singing superstar, and he gave a passionate performance of "Somebody's Me." Enrique gushed to the official website of "The Young and the Restless" that he actually watches the show regularly. When asked who his favorite character was, he stated, "Victor. He's the bomb. I like how he can be bad and good."

    Jewel

    Singer-songwriter Jewel has enjoyed enduring popularity since a series of big hits in the early 1990s, such as "You Were Meant for Me" and "Foolish Games." She also appeared as herself. The singer showed up on the memorial episode for beloved character Cassie Newman. The character was killed due to a drunk-driving car accident. Jewel performed two songs, "Good Day" and "Again and Again." She also was featured on a Mothers Against Drunk Driving public service announcement that aired immediately after the episode, according to MSNBC.

    Andrew Lloyd Webber

    Andrew is one of the few composers in theater who is a household name for most families in the U.S. He guest starred on the soap in a scene where art echoed life. Michael Damian, who played Danny Romalotti on the show, had been offered to play the lead role in Webber's musical, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," on Broadway. So, the composer guest-starred as himself, and he offered Danny the same role that Michael was offered in real life. It set up the hiatus that Michael needed to take in order to star on stage in New York City.

    George Kennedy

    George has been in over 200 film and television productions. He graced the screen on "The Y & R" (as fans often call it) first in 2003, and he guest-starred again in 2010 during a holiday-themed episode of the show. He had strong scenes opposite Victor Newman, as he played Victor's long-lost dad who left him to grow up impoverished in an orphanage, an experience so traumatic that it gave him the momentum to achieve the mass success he later experienced.

    Clementine Ford

    Clementine, the daughter of actress Cybill Shepherd, is best known as a star of "The 'L' Word." She appeared on the daytime drama we all know and love as the fourth recast of Mac, Katherine Chancellor's beloved granddaughter. Her performance As "TV Guide" reported, the return of this character allowed for new drama to stir for the young girl and her long-time, former love, Billy.
