ABC is back in business with Will Gluck.
The network has ordered a script for his half-hour single-camera comedy Rookie, which centers on a twentysomething woman who is trying to reinvent herself by becoming a cop. In so doing, she finds a surrogate family amongst the disparate group of police officers with whom she works.
Community producer Andy Bobrow will serve as the writer and executive producer on the project, which is being produced by Sony Pictures Television and Gluck's studio-based Olive Bridge Entertainment. Gluck is on board as a nonwriting EP, with Olive Bridge's Richie Schwartz attached as a co-executive producer. Tosh.0's Scott Zabielski will consult on the effort.
