    Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, Alan Arkin to Star in Action-Comedy 'Stand Up Guys' (Exclusive)

    Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin will star in Stand Up Guys, an action comedy being directed by Fisher Stevens, who won an Oscar for producing The Cove.

    An April shoot in Los Angeles is being scheduled.

    The project, which was formerly known as Old Timers, centers on two aging criminals, one of whom has been hired to kill his friend. They decide to enjoy one last night of debauchery in which they hit up a brothel, steal some cars and evade police but also face the choices they made in their lives. The project began life as a spec script by Noah Haidle.

    The film is being made by Sidney Kimmel Entertainment in conjunction with Lakeshore, with Lionsgate distributing domestically. Lakeshore International with Sierra Pictures is handling international sales.

    Sidney Kimmel, Gary Lucchessi, Tom Rosenberg and SKE’s Jim Tauber are producing. Matt Berenson and the late Bingham Ray are credited as executive producers.

    Pacino and Walken both appeared in Gigli, though they did not share the screen. Pacino and Arkin, however, acted alongside each other in 1992’s Glengarry Glen Ross. Akrin and Walken both appeared in America’s Sweethearts, the 2001 Julia Roberts movie.

    The three are also Oscar winners. Pacino won for Scent of a Woman, Walken for Vietnam war classic The Deer Hunter, and Arkin for Little Miss Sunshine.

    The trio is repped by ICM. Arkin is additionally repped by Principal Entertainment.
