The "Alphas" team is returning for Season 2, and it already has its work cut out!
In this exclusive sneak peek, Bill and Hicks are faced with three alphas working together to rob a grocery store when things get supernatural! While one alpha emits a paralyzing sonic screech that shatters glass and horrifies shoppers, his seemingly immune partner steals valuable prescription drugs. Bill, Hicks, and a government tactical team can do nothing but writhe on the floor while the robbery proceeds.
When the screeching stops, Bill quickly captures the female conspirator while Hicks chases the other two. As the thieves flee by pickup truck, Agent Clay tells Hicks to " get 'em," while tossing the alpha a gun. Inexplicably, Hicks's perfect senses are scrambled and his shot goes wide.
We are likely seeing the intense effects of Dr. Lee Rosen introducing Alphas to the world, which was revealed in the exciting Season 1 conclusion. With this formerly clandestine group of extraordinarily powerful people now set loose, a whole host of unpredictable problems is created.
What does it mean for Season 2? The secret parts of the plot are out, and there's a good chance that those who previously supported the Alphas are now unlikely to continue doing so. One thing is for sure, there will be a drastic change in the premise of the show moving forward.
