According to Yahoo! Music's Reality Rocks, an omg! Insider exec producer has confirmed (via a very inside source) that Jennifer Lopez will return to the fold alongside the already-announced Keith Urban. In addition, the Black Eyed Peas's will.i.am is reportedly joining them.
All we need now is a feline friend or a Moluccan cockatoo to sit on someone's shoulder. Yeah, we're saying it: This cast seems to be channeling the panel of "The Voice."
While "The Voice" has four mentors -- Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton -- and the rumored "Idol" lineup only has three, check out these comparisons.
Jennifer Lopez vs. Christina Aguilera
Divas are part of the territory on "Idol," so with the exits of both Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey at the end of last season, it's no surprise that producers wanted to dig up a divalicious replacement. Enter Jennifer Lopez. Yes, we know she's been there, done that, but she's also one of the few big names with enough clout to measure up to "The Voice's" resident pop diva, Christina Aguilera, who's also returning to her show after a one-season hiatus.
According to Deadline, "Idol" producers have been courting J.Lo for a return practically since she left the show in 2012. They reportedly even tried to bring her back to replace Mariah Carey earlier this year while Carey was still on the show! Not only is J.Lo's career on the upswing, but, like Aguilera, she's a Latina single mom with a huge following and a Pitbull collaboration on her resume. Adding to the similarities: Both ladies have 5-year-old sons named Max! (J.Lo's Max also has a twin named Emme.)
Keith Urban vs. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton
Aussie cutie Keith Urban charmed "Idol" audiences last season. But with his sly sense of humor and very visible tats coupled with that country croonin', we're seeing him as a perfect combo of Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Yes, we're talking a twofer!
Both Urban and Levine are known for their laid-back personalities and their edgy ink. (They each pay tribute to women in their lives, with Urban sporting a "Nicole" tattoo and Levine boasting a tat in honor of his mom). Both even have men's fragrance lines!
To add to "The Voice" panel similarities, Urban is a country music superstar with a wicked sense of humor, as is his NBC rival Blake Shelton. They even performed together at the 2012 CMAs.

will.i.am vs. Cee Lo Green
And then there's will.i.am. If his "Idol" deal comes through, he'll rival "The Voice's" Cee Lo Green for the flamboyant R&B singer slot. Both are known for their colorful commentary (The Black Eyed Peas front man has mentored on "Idol" in the past), while their extravagant outfits will surely go toe to toe.
They also have something else in common: will.i.am is a coach on the U.K. version of "The Voice." Now that's a way to really steal some "Voice" thunder! All "American Idol" needs now is a bromance.
