Amy Winehouse's Dress Sells for $67,000!

Amy Winehouse's Dress Sells for $67,000!

This is one dress sure to impress!

Grammy winner Amy Winehouse passed away on July 23, but her legacy lives on in many ways -- even the clothes she wore!

PHOTOS: Look back at Amy's life

The dress worn by the late 27-year-old singer on the cover of her hit album Back to Black was auctioned for $67,000 in London on Tuesday, CBS News reports. The white and red printed chiffon dress, designed by Thailand-based designer Disaya, was purchased by the Foundation Museo de la Moda in Chili.

    VIDEO: Amy's musical legacy

According to CBS News, the dress' designer donated the proceeds from the sale to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was set up by the "Valerie" singer's family to help vulnerable young people. Amy's father Mitch -- who was present at the auction Tuesday -- told CBS News the family was "just over the moon and this is a wonderful start to the foundation."

PHOTOS: Other stars who died at age 27

The "Rehab" songstress' tragic death was a result of alcohol poisoning, a coroner ruled. She had struggled with substance abuse for many years and despite periods of sobriety, resumed drinking shortly before her death.

i hae what they did to marylin and i hate what they did to MJ-selling all the memorible stuff (which should be kept in a museam) of biggest hollywood icons. as for amy-she isnt as big as those too but her stuff should be kept and not sold.and if , god forbid a parent's child was dead at 27' he/she would like to keep his/her clothes rather than sell it.

Just think, only a couple of years ago you could have gotten this dress off of her for the cost of a bottle of Jack Daniels.
