Ashley Hebert will be a December bride! The former star of "The Bachelorette" is set to marry her final pick, J.P. Rosenbaum, in a televised wedding, according to Us Weekly. But Ash is adamant that she won't be wearing white! The 27-year-old pediatric dentist has already gone on record as saying she doesn't want to don a white wedding gown on her big day.
So who can she look to for inspiration when it comes to a not-so-white wedding dress?
Valerie BertinelliShe went traditional for her 1981 wedding to Eddie Van Halen, but 30 years later, Valerie Bertinelli wore something blue. In 2011, the "Hot in Cleveland" star wore a one-of-a-kind turquoise gown designed by David Meister, paired with a pair of strappy Jimmy Choos, when she married longtime love Tom Vitale.
Gwen StefaniFor her 2002 wedding to rock star Gavin Rossdale, singer Gwen Stefani was pretty in pink when she wore a Dior dip-dyed silk faille gown. In 2011, Stefani's one-of-a kind John Galliano-designed gown was sent to the Victoria and Albert Design Museum in London. She told Elle U.K., "I didn't wanna send it because I was scared it would get ruined. But it's a work of art, it needed to be seen."
Elizabeth TaylorThe violet-eyed icon tied the knot so many times, it's no wonder she's worn just about every wedding dress color under the rainbow. While Elizabeth Taylor's first two wedding gowns were traditional white, her 1959 wedding to hubby no. 4 Eddie Fisher featured a hooded emerald silk dress. A few years later, she married Richard Burton while wearing yellow chiffon and a wild floral headdress. Her second marriage to Burton, in 1975, featured a flowing green number, while her 1991 union with construction worker Larry Fortensky was ushered in with an off-the-shoulder, lacy yellow gown. Sofia CoppolaAnd the bride wore purple! Oscar-winning filmmaker Sofia Coppola's 2011 wedding to French rocker Thomas Mars boasted 80 guests, including A-list friends like George Lucas. But it was Coppola's custom Azzedine Alaia chiffon dress that stole the show. The pale lavender dress sported a subtle print and made for the perfect look for her big day.
Sarah Jessica ParkerAlways a fashion trailblazer, "Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker wore black to her 2004 wedding to actor Matthew Broderick. But the actress later told Harper's Bazaar that she regretted the decision. If she had the chance for a redo, Parker said, "I'd wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn on the day." Are you listening, Ashley?
