Barack Obama has been projected to be re-elected President of the United States, with the president himself tweeting "Four more years" late on Tuesday night.
Most of election night was a close call, with Republican candidate Mitt Romney ahead for most of the night. But once California and Ohio were both called for Obama, the president pulled ahead with an estimated 275 electoral college votes to Romney's 201, as of press time. Florida had not yet been called, but Obama was expected to win that state as well. Romney had yet to concede the election.
"We're all in this together. That's how we campaigned, and that's who we are. Thank you," Obama tweeted after the projection announcement went out.
In a TVGuide.com poll, 51 percent of voters wanted Obama to take the win, though it was a tight race there as well, as Romney followed with 44 percent.
