After many weeks of waiting, "Bachelor" fans finally got to see the hometown dates. Ben asked Courtney, Kacie, Lindzi, and Nicki to bring him home to meet their parents. For nearly the entire season, Kacie and Lindzi have been the front-runners. During the last couple of weeks, Courtney has really done a number on Ben. She came up out of nowhere, and it appears that she has now captured his heart. The hometown dates this week were anything but boring. This is how the dates went, and which girl was sent packing with a broken heart.
Lindzi
If you remember back to the premiere, Lindzi rode in on a horse and earned the first impression rose. Their relationship has been extremely fun and has intensified immensely. Ben was brought to her hometown first. Of course horses were a major part of the date, and they even rode in a cart behind one to get to her parents' house. The dynamic between Ben and her parents was phenomenal. The "talk" was easy between them, and it was very clear that Lindzi was moving on to the final three.
Kacie
The second hometown date went to Kacie in Tennessee. When Ben arrived, Kacie was twirling a baton on the football field. It was a really nice moment that echoed their first one-on-one date. Kacie got Ben all riled up before meeting her parents, and that was huge mistake. Her parents were extremely hard to deal with, and you could see the uncomfortable demeanor between Ben and them. Her father point blank told Kacie that he would tell Ben "no" if he asked to marry her at this point. She was uncomfortable after the date, and it was not surprising that he sent her home.
Nicki
This was Ben's third stop, and it was in Texas. He got into the whole "cowboy" role, and wore the hat and the boots when on their date before meeting her parents. Nicki was previously married, and this is one relationship that no one expected to go past the beginning stages. The dynamic between Ben and her family was decent. This was definitely a great visit, and showed how their relationship was blossoming.
Courtney
Courtney was the the final hometown date. Surprisingly Ben and Courtney went straight to her parents' house. It seemed like her parents were probably the easiest to deal with of the four. Her father adored Ben, and they got along really well. After the day was spent with Courtney and her family, they went off on their date. This was the craziest date of the season. She really had to be ballsy to plan a mock wedding, but obviously it did something for Ben because she was not sent home.
It was really shocking for fans to see Kacie go before Courtney. The reality is, Courtney's date went way better than Kacie's. It is apparent that the parents were a factor in Ben sending Kacie home, which was really sad. Next week in Switzerland, there will be the overnight dates and one girl will be sent home before getting her chance at a future with Ben.
