Following up on their Allen Ginsberg biopic, Howl, from three years ago, director duo Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman are back with Lovelace, a non-explicit portrayal of the brief career of the world’s first porn star, Linda Boreman.
Amanda Seyfried stars as the young woman who became a global pop-cultural phenomenon after Deep Throat's release in 1972. Peter Sarsgaard co-stars as the actresses' abusive bottom-feeder husband and manager.
The film bowed at Sundance in January and is having its international premiere at the 2013 Berlin International Film Festival this week.
