    Bethenny Frankel Reveals Recent Miscarriage

Bethenny Frankel teared up on Monday's "Today" show as she revealed she recently suffered a miscarriage while trying to have a second child with husband Jason Hoppy.

"We were pregnant with a second baby and at eight weeks I miscarried," Bethenny said on Monday, as she promoted the third season of her Bravo series, "Bethenny Ever After."

Growing tearful, the reality star shared her sadness over the loss.

"That was a very emotional experience and it had a lot of different things that came with it. And... thinking about women who can't have their own baby, even the first baby, I mean, I'm really lucky," Bethenny, who is mom to Bryn, 21 months, continued. "I have the most beautiful daughter in the world... and I'm grateful for her."

Bethenny said she isn't sure what the future holds regarding children.

"Until you become a woman you don't know the things that come with being a woman and I'm 41," Bethenny said. "I don't know. It's not really my choice, it's not really my option and the window's closing and so, you know, it's something that I'm dealing with."

The reality star said her miscarriage will not be a part of Season 3 of her show.

"[It] is something that has not been dealt with on the show -- that was very recent," she said

When asked if she still hopes to have another child, Bethenny said her own loss made her think about others.

"I'm not really thinking about it... I do have an incredible daughter, I feel like she's perfect, and I - honestly, truthfully -- have thought about other women more than myself," she said. "The first thing that I thought about was, 'Oh my God, I can't believe what people must go through if they can't even have the one.'"

"Bethenny Ever After" premieres on February 20 at 9/8c on Bravo.

In a way, yes, but in a way no. You can have whatever you say and believe you want to have. She should try again...

To all the women who are ready to have their FIRST child and and deserve to have children while others like teens are having unwanted pregnancies, abortions. To all the women who would like to have a child and can't, and were not mentioned because they were not a celebrity, I'm sorry for their unfortunate and loss. I'm sorry to my wife.....

Thank you and sorry about your wife :( I miscarried 4 years ago and now I'm 16 weeks pregnant and I'm trying not worry or stress out. Losing a baby is never easy. I pray that your wife gets through this.

Theruth u sound stupid. I' sorry for ur lose of a child you and your wife. Who are u to say your wife is more deserving of a child because she is married, and that teens who are having unwanted pregnancies are less deserving to have a child. It also is not ur place to apologize.

"teens who are having unwanted pregnancies are less deserving". Really Michele, did you just write that? Exactly what does "unwanted" mean to you? If something is unwanted and you get it, most would consider that a punishment, not some kind of gift.

Even Jill realized that she was wrong about Bethenny and regrets the end of their friendship. I think she has been misunderstood. I think it comes off as she's obsessed with herself because she genuinely IS happy with her own life and has no problems sharing it with the world. You have to be somewhat obsessed with yourself to have your own reality show. Either way it's good entertainment. More power to her and I'm sorry for her loss.

I prefer the term 'celebutard'. I believe Joel McHale coined that one but I've stolen it for my own home use :)

that is what happens ladies, when you spend your best child-bearing years going out to clubs, banging bad boys, and focus on your special "career girl" self. Then you wonder why life sucks once you are 30

Unfortunately, she is very self-absorbed and vain, and spends way too much time talking about herself. Many women have miscarriages and suffer in silence, not going on TV and talking about it or making money off of it, which is probably what she'll end up doing.
