Johnny Galecki as Leonard Hofstadter
Johnny is well known for his role on the show "Roseanne." He played David, who dated Roseanne's daughter on this show. He has also been on Broadway several times. He was actually born in Belgium, but grew up in Chicago. He started acting at the age of 12.
Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper
Jim was on the show "Judging Amy" for several episodes, but this is his first regular role. He was born in Houston and loves to play the piano. He has been involved in several Broadway productions. He is involved with the "Stand Up for Cancer" charity. He has one sibling. Recently he received a Golden Globe award for his character on this show.
Kaley Cuoco as Penny
Kaley is known for her role on "8 Simple Rules" as the daughter to the amazing John Ritter. She was also in a recent made for TV movie called "Fat Like Me." Simon has been on many shows as a guest star, but has never had a leading role before. He was on "Joey," "Reno 911" and "Mad TV." He is also an accomplished pianist. He was born in California. He is married to actress Jocelyn Towne. He earned his black belt in karate at the age of 10.
Kunal Nayyar as Rajesh Koothrappali
Kunal was a guest star on the show "NCIS" where he played a terrorist, but "The Big Bang Theory" is his first big role. He helped write a play called "Cotton Candy" that is still being done in India. He was born in London but grew up in New Delhi.
