YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

'Bones': Where we left off and what's coming up

Season 7 of "Bones" ended with the most harrowing cliffhanger yet. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) was framed for the gruesome murder of her friend. Rather than take Booth's (David Boreanaz) suggestion to stay and do things by the book, she listened to a man she had never trusted in the past: her father, Max (Ryan O'Neal). She's now on the lam with Baby Christine in tow.

Brennan's evil-genius intellectual equal, Christopher Pelant (Andrew Leeds), left a series of clues that created an apparent open-and-shut case against Brennan. The situation left most of Brennan's own colleagues believing she could be guilty. Thankfully, Angela (Michaela Conlin) remained a true friend and continued to grab every straw she could find to prove Brennan's innocence.

Unfortunately, Angela's clues were not enough. Brennan was left with only two choices: turn herself in, or go into hiding. After Max presented a few logical arguments for why Brennan should leave under his protection, she took him up on the offer without telling Booth what she was doing or where she was going.

Executive producer Stephen Nathan told TV Guide that Booth will be furious about what Brennan has done. After all they've been through together, he will be extremely hurt that Brennan didn't trust him enough to just tell him the truth. The worst part is that Booth was already in bad shape when Brennan left, as Pelant had foiled him into getting thrown off the case. His world is now falling apart, and there is nothing he can do about it.

Will Palent continue to torment our favorite crime-solving TV couple? How and when will Brennan be exonerated? Find out when Season 8 begins with the episode "The Future in the Past," on Monday, 9/17 at 8PM EST on Fox.
