On a recent episode of 'Desperate Housewives,' Carlos Solis found out that his wife Gabby had been keeping a big secret from him for awhile. She knew all along that Bree Van De Kamp's son Andrew was the one who ran over his mother and killed her. It has haunted Carlos all this time wanting to know who did this to her.Now that he knows the truth, he has forbid Gabby and Bree from seeing each other or talking at all. These two women have been friends for years. Everyone is wondering if these two friends will really avoid each other. The latest episode started out with Gaby heading out the door for coffee and Carlos telling her that she could not go since Bree would be there.
We saw the two women on the phone with each other and they both seemed heartbroken at the idea of not talking to each other. A bit later in the episode, they both end up at Lynette's house since she is out of town. They decide that just a pot of coffee can't hurt anything and decide to spend some time talking to each other. You can tell these women are going to be on a mission to keep being friends.
It is hilarious the way that they are making the two women act on the show. They remind me of a couple that is cheating on their spouse with each other. Bree even made a comment about knowing the way that Gaby takes her coffee.
Bree said she made her pineapple upside down cake with some danger in it. They are enjoying the fun of sneaking around to be friends and the fear of being caught. It is making them bond in a new way and feel like they are pulling one over on Carlos. Bree even admits about her cheating on her husband in the past.
Gabby almost got caught since Carlos found some pineapple upside down cake at the house that Bree made. Of course he did not believe that Gabby could make it on her own. He tried to get her to make one again and she did everything she could to avoid it. She finally ended up talking to Bree through a headset and was able to do it all herself. She pretended to be talking to her grandma who passed away years ago. Gabby's cake did not come out at all, but Bree was able to slip the one she made into the window for Gabby and save the day.
At the end of the episode, Gabby ended up getting caught trying to leave on a spa weekend with Bree. She was told to choose between them and went to stay with Bree bringing her daughters along for the ride.
Gabby and Bree have such a great friendship that it should be interesting to see how they play this story line out on the show. They will do whatever it takes to stay friends and hopefully at some point Carlos will agree to allow them to be friends. In the meantime, we will enjoy watching them try to make it work.
