Bristol Palin and A&E Sued Again Over Reality Series

Life has been rough for the Lifetime reality show Bristol Palin: Life's A Tripp. The show's star Bristol Palin and Lifetime's parent company A&E Television Network are being sued again — by the same person, Deadline reports.

In the new lawsuit, filed on June 28, Stephen Hanks claims defamation and invasion of privacy, and is seeking $75,000 against Palin and Lifetime. Hanks first filed three weeks ago after the network aired promos featuring him and Palin in a heated verbal spat at a West Hollywood bar. Hanks says the incident was filmed in September without his permission and demanded that Lifetime stop airing the footage. In the new suit, Hanks says he "has learned of additional defendants."

Bristol Palin sued for defamation

Hanks, a talent manager, adds in the suit that because of Palin's "deliberate, malicious and despicable" actions, he has "suffered harm to his profession and occupation and expended money as a result of the statements."

Also being sued are the series' production company Associated Television International and executive producer David McKenzie.

This is the second lawsuit filed against Life's A Tripp in the past month. Christopher and Kyle Massey, the latter of whom competed on Dancing with the Stars with Palin, have also sued ATI and McKenzie, claiming that the producers cut them out of the reality show.

Since its poor debut on June 19, Life's A Tripp has been removed from Lifetime's prime-time schedule.
