"Supernatural" is set to air on January 8 th 2012. According to TV Line , Castiel will return by Episode 17 and two more episodes after that during Season 7. Misha Collins, who plays Castiel, tells AOL TV that he will return somewhat changed . What does this mean and how changed will Castiel be? Here are a few ideas on what this might mean.
Could Castiel Return As an Angel Once Again?
It would be nice to see Castiel as himself again. Of course, Misha Collins has stated that he will have changed somehow. How much change can there be with Castiel's character? Dean would love to see Castiel again and the days where Castiel would whisk Dean and Sam back into time were inspiring for everyone to watch. We want to see that again. It would be tragic to lose the innocent angel of Castiel. Let's hope nothing drastic changes for Castiel!
Could Castiel Return as a Leviathan?
It would be cruel if a leviathan were to secretly deceive Dean and Sam and pretend to be Castiel. If this was the case, would Dean and Sam notice if it was Castiel or not? They might not even realize he has changed, but how long could it go on for? Castiel might even return as the overall boss of the leviathans. Perhaps, there is a bigger person in charge of them other than Dick Roman. Of course, this storyline might not work for many viewers. Also, if Bobby is no longer around, they would not have his help. Let's hope Castiel does not come back as a leviathan, as it might not turn out to be a great storyline!
Could Castiel Return With No Memories?
What if Castiel returns as himself, but has no memory of the past with Sam and Dean. It could get interesting if this were to happen. Perhaps, he is still an angel, but a changed one. He could have another soul inside him instead of his own. This would mean he would have to start over and get to know Sam and Dean all over again. It could get exciting to watch the new and changed Castiel all over again. Castiel may have a new personality. Sam and Dean might have to get to know him again, which could turn out to be interesting. Would Sam and Dean be friends with Castiel again if he was a different person? Dean would have no choice, as he will need all the help he can get to avenge Dick Roman. Let's hope it all works out for all of them!
